HPN Awareness Week

2–8 August 2015 is HPN Awareness Week (Home Parenteral Nutrition) and I was asked to create some illustrations for a whiteboard video to publicise the event by Parenteral Nutrition Down Under (PNDU). PNDU is a self-funded, not-for-profit support group for consumers and carers in Australia and New Zealand on Parenteral Nutrition.

I created a number of illustrations that were then taken into the video software which animated them being drawn. This presented some technical challenges as I'd never used or prepared artwork for this software before, so I had to adapt my usual way of working to suit the software.

If you don't know what Parenteral Nutrition is then the video below is for you.

Testimonials

Simon took our initial concept to very loose script and created a list of illustrations we needed to make our whiteboard video simply work. He delivered the first few illustrations in sketch form, and we knew he was going to nail it. On budget and on time every step of the way, Simon was not only a genius illustrator but a lovely person to work with. He has a talent for taking the everyday and making it sing. He delighted our audience with his clever and cute characters, and went beyond what we thought was even possible. We'd work with him again in a heartbeat. Jennifer del Greco, pndu.org
