Simon Whittaker is a freelance illustrator based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire (UK). For no particular reason he often works under the moniker House of Deadleg.

Specialising in bold and bright vector illustrations suitable to any application, and with a particular interest in animation and children's picture books.

He is also currently working on developing two picture book ideas and introducing more animation into his portfolio. He is a member of The Association of Illustrators and DogEatCog collective, and occasionally writes book reviews for the AOI.

Fond of stationery, real ale (all hail the real ale!) and Columbo (King of the TV detectives). Facial hair experimentationist. Guitar noiserer and drum loop programmer.
